NEA and Western Governors University (WGU) Launch Scholarship Program

The WGU NEA Academy Partner Scholarships are designed to help NEA Academy members attend college online to earn their teaching master’s degrees.

Each award is valued up to $1,200.

This scholarship will be credited to your account at the rate of $400 per six-months and is renewable for up to three terms.

For most WGU programs, tuition for a six-month term is $2,890, less the $400 per term scholarship.

University Programs

After reviewing of hundreds of programs, we have hand-selected three of the best public, private, and non-profit universities to provide NEA members online access to Bachelor's and  Master's of Education degrees, plus a range of graduate certificate offerings.

Our rigorous program screening process includes an assessment of the awards/recognition received, number of students served, level of technical support offered, and quality of course interactivity as described in our NEA Academy Online Degree Program Evaluation Criteria.

The NEA Academy currently offers degree programs through Walden University, Western Governors University, and UMassOnline.

These partnerships allow NEA members to receive 5 to 20 percent tuition discounts, gain special access to NEA member-only scholarships, and get fees waived for numerous courses.

This means lifelong learning and professional development is affordable anytime and anywhere!
