Using Digital Photography in Every Classroom
Digital cameras and cell phones with picture and video capabilities are everywhere! 21st Century learners use these devices to communicate, to share what they see, and show others how they experience the world. Digital cameras, video recorders, and phones can be dynamic learning tools in the classroom.
In this course, you will explore the fundamentals of digital photography. You will learn perspectives you need to know, how to manipulate close-ups, and when to and not to use a flash. You will also learn about programs on the Internet that are free and interactive, and you will learn how they can assist you with your questions and concerns. You will explore techniques which will revitalize your teaching habits and improve student success.
This 30 hour course is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, in a self-paced learning format. Educators and professionals looking for innovative 21st Century ideas, and those interested in learning about taking pictures and how to utilize photography to enhance student learning will take away strategies, skills and techniques to release untapped potential in their students.
NEA members will receive a special discount for course access, when they register through the NEA Academy website. Credit for course completion is issued by the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) through the university’s Continuing Education Department.
