This course is centered around creating lessons that empower students to achieve the rigor of the Common Core State Standards. The course will start by giving participants the chance to evaluate how they are already supporting the Common Core Standards. Participants will then develop an action plan to transform their instruction. When participants are finished they will have a thorough understanding of how to create lessons that align to the Common Core Standards. During the course they will have guided practice designing 3 such lessons in a collaborative, facilitated environment.
