The 5 Practices of Highly Effective Classrooms
This course presents instructional research focused on instructional strategies, literacy skills (including reading, reflection, note taking, vocabulary, compare and contrast), learning styles, curriculum design, and instructional learning teams. Content is presented via streaming videos of researchers, teachers in classrooms, and teachers in learning teams. Robert Marzano, Harvey Silver, and Richard Strong are featured, with downloadable materials. This course would be most effective if taken with several participants from the same school or district.
