"I Can Do It!" focuses on classroom management. It's appropriate for all K-12 content areas and can be beneficial to teachers and paraeducators.

The program teaches classroom management skills through:

• Identifying and demonstrating elements for effective classroom management.
• Illustrating communication styles and how they relate to student/teacher/parent communication.
• Exhibiting interventions for selected difficult behaviors encountered in the classroom.
• Providing tips that help create a smoothly flowing classroom.

The "I Can Do It!" program is an asynchronous and non-facilitated course based on a workshop originally developed by the California Teachers Association. This program can be used by an individual or by educators in a learning community.

There are no activities built into the program other than the online activities the participant completes as they go through the program. "I Can Do It!" by itself is not long enough for CEU’s (continuing education credits), but if it was used in a learning community with additional time built in, you could work to get CEU approval.

This course is currently only available to NEA members.
