High School Science provides a wonderful opportunity for students to learn how the world works, and to become more proficient as thinkers and problem solvers!

In this course you will explore 6 critical areas that are essential for effective science teachers to ensure student success. You will learn how to turn students into scientists, how to help them master science content, and how to make science relevant and meaningful. You will also explore ways to integrate the science curriculum, discover ways to infuse technology, and reflect on ways to reach out beyond the classroom. The strategies shared in this course will revitalize your teaching and engage your students in the scientific learning process.

This 30 hour course is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, in a self-paced learning format. This course will appeal to educators seeking to actively engage students, implement 21st Century ideas, and employ effective structures to enhance performance and success.

NEA members will receive a special discount for course access, when they register through the NEA Academy website. Credit for course completion is issued by the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) through the university’s Continuing Education Department.
